Does dostprefer love this group or what? Not only does he/she post pretty much everyday, but now he/she is spending time searching the archives for statistics, all the while knowing how this would bother his/her body of elders! Certainly this time would be better spent searching for sheeplike ones or learning a foreign language.

Depression - a possible cure in sight
by gumby ini was just reading an article about a 50 year old toronto psychiatric nurse who has had 10 years of horrible depression.
she has fought off suicidal thoughts, cried and sobbed on her balcony for hours on end, spent 6 months in bed, shunned food and friends.. today.....two years later, she is happy, full of energy, and feels like living again.
what happened?.

I've battled depression for years and this cure lines up with what works for me.....don't let negative thoughts survive. Even the smallest negative thought can fester into a full-on bad mood, so I've found its best to kill these little bastards as soon as they creep up. Worrying excessively about the future is bad, better to just whittle it down to what you can do to change it right now, instead of just stressing. The past is the past, learn from it what you may and move on. Life is what it is. The difference is in how we perceive it. Works for me. This winter was absolute shit. I was unemployed and broke and wallowing in thoughts of being better off dead. This little philosophy just might be the key to no more depression.

I smoked pot everyday when trying to get reinstated. I was high during the elders meeting they decided to let me back in and continued to smoke daily for another 6 months before taking a break. Good times.

Such empty words! They can say "Jesus is the head of the congregation" all day, but their actions prove otherwise. The GB puts out this image of mock humility, like they are just serving the lord and relaying the message, but really it is just a way to make people believe their words are inspired and a way of shirking the responsiblity of owning up to what they have written. They could at least try and follow Jesus' main teachings before they claim his leadership.

District Assembly, Elland Road, Leeds about 15 years ago
by New Worldly Translation inthis memory just came to me and i wondered of anyone else remembered it.
it was at the district assembly where the questions young people ask book was launched.
all the young ones had to move and sit together in one stand of the football stadium.
